Role Definition Supports the financial risk management department in the collection, validation, and maintenance of data needed to perform financial analysis as required by corporate policies. Responsibilities - Specifies, builds, maintains, and runs data extracts from various subsystems that contain account-level information depicting the structure of the balance sheet. - Produces monthly/quarterly reports for management, including balance sheet mix reports, balance sheet changes, short-term liquidity position, and gap reporting. - Produces a daily balance sheet to assist the trading desk in the management of the current liquidity position of the company. - Provides analyses and reports on the management of credit and interest rate risk exposure. Market Risk: Knowledge of processes, tools, and techniques used for analyzing market risk; ability to assess and manage investment exposures to market risk. Level Basic Understanding: - Compiles a list of key outside resources for managing, measuring, and monitoring market risk for investments. - Collects information related to market risk management and measurement. - Identifies and cites specific examples of market risks and potential consequences. - Describes key market risk issues and benefits of market risk management practices. Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
