**Now Hiring for HVAC Journeyman** ***Location:** Des Moines, Iowa ***Employment Type:** Full-Time ***Compensation:** Competitive hourly wage + benefits (Range between $28-$40/hour, based on experience) ***Job Overview:** We are seeking a skilled Journeyman HVAC Technician to join a reputable mechanical contracting team in Des Moines. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial and industrial HVAC systems, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to craftsmanship and collaboration. ***Key Responsibilities:** + Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning, heating, ventilation, and refrigeration units + Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate system layout and installation + Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components + Collaborate with other trades (plumbing, piping, sheet metal) on integrated mechanical projects + Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and project specifications + Communicate effectively with foremen, project managers, and team members ***Qualifications:** + Valid Journeyman HVAC license or equivalent certification + Experience in commercial or Industrial HVAC installation and service + Ability to read and interpret construction documents and mechanical plans + Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and procedures + Willingness to work on varied job sites including hospitals, schools, and government buildings + Reliable transportation and ability to travel locally as needed ***Benefits:** + Union wages and benefits package + Opportunities for advancement into foreman or leadership roles + Supportive team environment with ongoing training and development + Stable work with a long-standing mechanical contractor ***Apply Now to get the hiring process started - Journeyman License automatically qualifies for the role*** **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of West Des Moines, IA. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $42.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
