Aspirus Tomahawk Hospital in Tomahawk, WI is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team!

Will consider either MLS or MLT

The Medical Laboratory Scientist performs chemical, bacteriological, serological, hematological, and microscopic procedures in the Central Clinical Laboratory that require the exercise of independent judgment and interpretation. All individuals in the job classification meet the qualifications necessary to perform high complexity testing as defined by the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988 (CLIA 88).

HOURS: Full-Time or .9 FTE, 72 hours every pay period. NIGHT SHIFT ONLY (7 on/7 off)

Experience/Qualifications

• Knowledge of laboratory standards and practices acquired through completion of an Associates or bachelor's degree in laboratory science.
• Previous applicable experience beneficial.
• Possesses active Medical Technology (MT-ASCP), Medical Lab Technician (MLT-ASCP) or CLS-NCA certification or attains within 6 months of hire.

Aspirus Tomahawk Hospital in Tomahawk provides primary and specialty services to Tomahawk and rural Lincoln County through a 25-bed critical access hospital. Other services include inpatient hospital care, 24/7 emergency department (level IV trauma designation), urgent care as well as imaging, laboratory, and rehabilitation services.
